Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 1-7 October 2026

Everyone deserves to feel welcome, included, and able to take part without worrying that their allergies will leave them feeling left out.

That’s why this year it’s all about a sense of belonging and making sure people living with serious allergies have a seat at the table — whether they’re at school, in the workplace, on holiday, or eating out.

From 1 to 7 October, we’ll be sharing resources, stories, and podcasts to help raise awareness, start conversations, and encourage better understanding of life with serious allergies. Please share them with your family, friends, colleagues, pupils, and patients, and help us spread the message of inclusion.

We’re also inviting you to #wearitbright and show your support for friends, family, and colleagues affected by serious allergies. Together, we can help create a world where everyone feels safe, included, and able to take part.

COMING SOON! The Anaphylaxis Awareness Week Toolkit

What we achieved in 2025

In 2025, the Anaphylaxis Awareness Week campaign reached over 230,000 people on social media. We were overwhelmed by the number of messages, stories, and personal experiences shared with us throughout the campaign! It showed just how much this issue matters to people living with serious allergies, and to those around them.

This time, we’re determined to take the message even further, reach even more people, and keep the conversation going. Join in!

Showing a #SenseOfBelonging with Trusted Information and Support

The worry of living with or caring for someone with serious allergies, may never fully go away… we know that. But what we also know is having access to the right information and support can help to calm the fear and worry that can come with living with allergies and create a sense of belonging.

Having access to accurate, reliable information not only empowers people to feel more in control of their allergy journey, but it also helps to debunk some of the inaccurate information that is widely spread online, particularly on social media. Often with the best intentions, false information is shared which can cause unnecessary fear and panic.

So we will be using Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2026 as an opportunity to share accurate and trusted information and resources to ease the uncertainty that can come with living with allergies and create a sense of belonging.

Never Alone on your Allergy Journey

Everything we do at Anaphylaxis UK is to try to make sure everyone feels supported and empowered on this journey.

We will always do our best to ensure the information and resources we share are factually correct, reliable and up to date… all with the intention of ensuring you have access to the information and support you deserve

How can you get involved?

1. #WearItBright

Join us in showing people living with serious allergies that they are not alone on this journey.

Whether you have allergies yourself or want to show your support for those who do… why not dress up in your brightest clothes and demonstrate your support for everyone affected by anaphylaxis? Post a picture of yourself ‘wearing it bright’ to Facebook,  LinkedIn, X or Instagram and talk about why you are supporting Anaphylaxis Awareness Week this year.

Don’t forget to tag us and use the hashtag #WearItBright and follow us on social media to see more of our updates from the week.

2. Host an Awareness Event

Anaphylaxis Awareness Week is the perfect time to get the world talking about anaphylaxis and serious allergies. So why not consider hosting an awareness event at your school, workplace or just with family and friends?

Providing a ‘safe space’ for people living with allergies to share their experiences is a great way to raise awareness, educate people on the seriousness of anaphylaxis, whilst showing those affected that they are not alone on this journey.

3. Share on Social Media

The most important thing about Anaphylaxis Awareness Week is to get the word out there! So we’d love as many of you as possible to show your support by sharing our social media posts to your own channels throughout the week. We’ll have whole range of resources for you to share so keep an eye out for those!

And if you’re taking part in #WearItBright or taking on a fundraising challenge, don’t forget to post about your efforts on social media.

Whatever you’re doing to support Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2026, we want the world to know about it!

4. Take on a Fundraising Challenge

Wearing it Bright isn’t the only way you can get involved to show those living with allergies that they are not alone. Taking on a fundraising challenge is a great way to show your support and raise awareness at the same time!

Are you up for taking on a fundraising challenge? In September we will launch our dedicated AAW2026 fundraising webpage housing all the information you will need to take on a fundraising challenge during Anaphylaxis Awareness Week, including free downloadable resources and useful tips to get you started.
